Those pistons in the screenshot are possibly headless pistons that render their heads. This block breaking behaviour happens due to how pistons are coded.
There is another way to reproduce, that works in creative and survival on PS4: You need to start in Legacy Console (for the edition specific exploits that will never get fixed), obtain a bedrock block with the snow golem placement exploit (when spawn limits for snow golems are reached in that edition), obtain a headless piston using the pressure plate exploit (where the pressure plate is next to the wooden face of the piston, and there is redstone dust powering the piston at the same time from the pressure plate), then keep the headless piston powered with a lever to the sides or back of the piston, place a bedrock block next to the piston head slot block face of the headless piston, convert the world to Bedrock Edition, open the world and then depower the headless piston. The bedrock block will break.
