Unlike in Java, the stairs hitbox is higher than the cushions. The attachment called “Pasted Graphic.png” is what it looks like in Java edition.
How to reproduce:
Open Minecraft preview, go to experiments and enable “Drop 3 of 2026”. Then load/create a world.
Once world is loaded, place 6 snow blocks and place a cushion on top of it.
Quickly remove the snow and place a stair.
The expected result would be that you can see the top of the stair and not the cushion.
The actual result was that you could see the full cushion instead of half of the cushion. The image called “IMG_2488.jpg” is what it looks like in Minecraft preview.

Hello,
I have look at the report and it is something slightly different to what I am trying to explain. What am I explaining is that the cushion’s size in bedrock is different to the one in Java. The ticket you showed me was that the cushion was slightly off the ground. My one is saying the cushion is bigger than the stair in length with the images provided. The first one being Java where the other half of the cushion is covered by stair because it is taller, the other being Bedrock with the cushion being taller than the stair. This causes an inconsistency between the versions of how you can use the cushion. I hope you understand
This was caused by incorrect (elevated) placement on surfaces and has been fixed in version 26.50.20; you can verify that it now works exactly like in Java Edition. In both Bedrock and Java, the cushions have always been the same size.
