Steps to reproduce:
With Minecraft open, click Play
Click Edit on a world you want to reproduce this issue in
Scroll and click Resource Pack
Click Available
Activate the Super Mario Mash-up
Due to MCPE-239834, if you don’t mind global resources being turned off, switch on Shared Packs, otherwise find a switch to toggle with
If there are changes (other than activating / deactivating resource packs), a save or leave pop-up should appear, click “Save changes”
Enter a world that is just edited
Give yourself a furnace, blast furnace or smoker (i.e. by sending /give @s furnace)
Place a furnace
interact with the furnace to open the GUI (UI)
observe the furnace toggle (can be found below the colored magnifying glass in the tab)
Expected result: It should be retextured
Observed result: the toggle is not retextured (see “2026080921430100_c.jpg“).
Workaround (not possible on Nintendo Switch due to MCPE-234296, unless that mash-up pack was from a community port):
This workaround not only retextures the toggle to match the Mario Mash-up, but also retextures new emote screen and touch controls so it would become useful when the Mario Mash-up Pack is officially made to PC / mobile. These steps assumes players importing the pack on platforms that support importing, and without using Realms:
Import “Mario Mash-up texture workaround 1.0.1.mcpack”
Click Play
Click Edit on a world with Mario Mash-up activated
Scroll and click Resource Pack
Click Available
Activate “Add missing textures for the Mario Mash-up”
Click Active tab
Move the “Add missing textures for the Mario Mash-up” below the Mario Mash-up, so it’s activated last, otherwise the hotbar goes invisible (items are still shown but the background will not if you skipped this step)
Due to MCPE-239834, if you don’t mind global resources being deactivated, switch on Shared Packs. Otherwise find a switch to toggle with
If there are changes (other than activating / deactivating resource packs), a save or leave pop-up should appear, click “Save changes”
Reason of it being a game bug and Platform is set to Nintendo Switch: The mash-up pack is built-in on Nintendo Switch version of the game, and community ports (for other platforms) are not official ports 😢

I added retextured icons (specifically the food and item icons) to the workaround resource pack, so here’s an updated version:
For Nintendo Switch players, assuming you have an active Realms server and active Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and a PC or mobile device to migrate the resource pack to, a workaround resource pack called “Mario Mash-up resource port with patches“ from MCPE-234296 is needed, because the workaround resource pack here would block the Mario Mash-up from retexturing due to MCPE-234296.
