The bell button on the bottom-left on the main menu, leading to the Inbox, is supposed to play a “ringing” animation when there is a notification badge, once when opening the game, and again when you hover over it.
Since 17 september 2026 (release 26.51 and preview 26.60.24), this animation does not play at all. I assume that this is caused by the fact that there is a new icon (envelope) rolled out for certain players with a treatment tag. The bell is still supposed to ring for players with the bell.
Steps to reproduce
Open the game and make sure that there are unread Inbox messages (can be simulated by sending a Realm invite to the account), with batch notifications enabled.
Look at the bell button, hover over it with the mouse.
Expected result
The bell icon plays a ringing animation the first time when opening the game. The animation plays again every time hovering over it.
Observed result
The bell icon always stays static.
