Custom skin (imported skin) resets to default Steve/Alex upon relaunching the game

Every time I import a custom skin (.png file) from my device storage, it works fine during the session. However, when I close the game and log back in later, the custom skin completely resets back to the default Steve or Alex skin.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft PE.
2. Go to Dressing Room -> Classic Skins -> Choose New Skin.
3. Import a custom .png skin from the device gallery.
4. The skin is applied successfully.
5. Close Minecraft PE completely.
6. Relaunch the game and log in.

Observed Results:
The custom skin disappears and is automatically replaced by Steve or Alex.

Expected Results:
The game should save the imported custom skin permanently even after restarting.
