Magma cubes will jump after landing too quickly and even instantly if hit while in midair. On the other hand, in Java there is quite a lot of time to wait around and if hitting them in midair you still have enough time to back up.

Is this still an issue in 1.2 beta?
Having compared it to the Java edition (1.12.2 pre-1) I couldn't see a significant difference; the magma cubes could jump again very quickly after landing.
