Mobs of any kind have problems moving on Snow layers, making it possible to approach certain mobs that you would normally not be able to approach, with this bug I have been able to stand next to an Enderman and look him straight in the eye without him being able to attack me.
How to recreate: Journey to a Snow biome, wait for serveral weather cycles and Snow falls, then note how mobs become imobile or even float above invisible Snow Layers, have for instance a Creeper chase you, note that after a short while it will become stuck and unable to move.
Hopefully this is worded correctly and cannot in any way be misconstrued.

Here is a more in depth video example of Mobs getting stuck, freeing themselves and then getting stuck again.

Thank you for your report!
We are having difficulty reproducing the issue you have mentioned. Does this still happen in the latest version?
Just to make sure, can you confirm that you do not have any add-ons applied to the world?

I have no add-ons, never have never will, I like to play the game without any third party stuff... The best way to reproduce this is to start a game close to a snow biome, build your base there and just play for a few days, let the snow fall as normal and after a while you will definitely notice the crazy behavior that i showcase in the videos provided, I believe its something to do with the snow layers, sometimes if i clear a seemingly small amount of snow (1 or 2 layers deep) suddenly a full block of snow appears! I can guarantee this is still happening in 1.2.0.31, makes endermen and creepers easy to kill, just keep running around until they get stuck!
Ok, well if it's not too much trouble you could use a file sharing site and post the link (eg google drive, onedrive or dropbox)
Or if it happens in new worlds as well, you might be able to recreate the issue in a new world and upload that here, as it will be smaller?
Sounds like a plan, I haven't touched Minecraft much over the last few months (due to the mob spawning issues), but if I don't sleep in too late tomorrow, and before the football kicks off, I'll have a go at making a new world (same seed) and see what happens, if the problem persists I'll throw the link up here... I'm not a hugely technical guy, but will investigate this new-fangled file sharing thing you mention 😃
Sorry for the lateness of reply, spent a while in survival mode running around in the snow being chased by various creepers, zombies etc. and it seemed to be working fine as far as nothing got stuck, waited quite a while (3 games days and nights which resulted in two snowfalls), so thanks for the input, but this particular issue seems to be resolved. Like I said I don't really play this version of Minecraft anymore due to the mob spawning issues, fix those and I'll come back to it...
Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket has not been updated recently (~7 months+) so is being closed as Cannot Reproduce. If you feel this is still a valid issue and is affecting the most recent versions, then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines.
