Earlier today, I went to go inside my house when I noticed a creeper and a baby zombie inside. This is strange, because there is no open way in and out, and the room is small and incredibly well lit.
If it is relevant, the difficulty is set to Hard.

I can't confirm it but I've seen creepers and other mobs in the middle of the day in plains since 1.2.1.1. This is after a fresh load and never having a night cycle... will keep trying to confirm it.
I also have had mobs spawn in a well lit house. Two creepers greeting me at my front door is not a great welcome home gift.

I have the same problem in my tower in a realm set the Survival Hard. Every level of the tower is lit by four glowstones in the ceiling and torches on the walls and each is no more than 3-4 blocks from another, and the ceilings are only 4 blocks high. But I still turn around and am surprised by the occasional zombie or creeper.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the 1.2 update being so incredibly DARK. I had brightness set to 10 before the update, and I have it set to 60 now, and still it seems darker.
