If I have a lead on an animal, randomly when I turn around, the animal is far away doing it's own thing, but is still showing it is attached to the lead. If I log out, then back in it removes the lead visual, but depending on where the lead actually broke, I can't find. This also seems to be an issue with teathering animals to fence posts. When I log back in, the animals and the leads are gone.
Steps to reproduce:
Attach a lead to a horse behind a fence or in a hole 2 blocks deep.
Walk away from the horse. Note that the attached lead renders even at a great distance.
Return to the horse. Note that the lead has been dropped, but the attached lead is still being rendered.

Confirmed in Windows 10 1.6.1
When a lead is stretched until it breaks, the lead is dropped as an item but the rendered line is still displayed. This happens in both Creative and Survival modes, but in Creative attaching the lead doesn't remove it from your inventory, so you appear to be holding both the attached lead and an unattached lead. The erroneous rendering of an attached lead persists until you attach one and then detach it instead of stretching it until it breaks.
