After successfully using portal pairs many times, the portal in the Nether just stops working. All the visual effects of the portal itself are still there, and I can still use a different portal to get back to the overworld, hike back to the first pair, and use it to get into the Nether, but you cannot use the Nether side to get back to Overworld on that pair. The wavy effects never start inside the portal, and teleport never happens.
This has happened now on two completely different worlds. I have not yet tried breaking and relighting the Nether side, though I assume that would work.

I've just encountered this on my world, Windows 10 version 1.14.60.
My Nether portal which I've used many times has left me now stuck in the Nether and will not take me back to the Overworld. As discussed above, all the visual effects of the portal itself are still there - however, it will not start the teleport or do the wavy lines.
I have tried thus far
breaking the portal and relighting it on the Nether side.
moving the portal and relighting it on the Nether side.
logging out and logging back in
completely exiting Minecraft altogether and relaunching.
Attached screenshot of what it looks like when I'm stood in the portal, waiting for it to teleport me.
Edit: Also found a log file - hopefully that's of some use. Let me know if there's any further log files I can go looking for.
