my horse disappeared when I put him on the fence and puf disappeared,Please fix this bug

I had a tamed donkey with a chest equipped. I had it attatched to a fence post. I returned from exploring and the lead around the fence post was still present but no donkey.
If you logged out with the horse under you relog and it should be there.
If not then you are on your own.
