I recently went idle for about twenty minutes at a blaze farm I had constructed in the nether on a friend's realm. Upon returning, I flipped a switch that activates a piston to contain the blazes, and the game crashed. Since then, I have been unable to rejoin the realm. I get the normal loading messages when attempting to join the realm, up until it reads, "Building terrain". At this point, I get an error message stating, "Disconnected from server".
Our initial belief was that the number of mobs present in the area overloaded the game and caused the crash. As such, the owner of the realm traveled towards my nether fortress with the intention of clearing out the blaze farm, however, once he got to within roughly 25 blocks of the area, his game also crashed. Since then, he is only able to move about 20 blocks in any direction upon loading the realm before his game crashes again. He also attempted to use the /kill @e command to clear out the blazes, but this has not fixed the problem.
Attached is a video showing the realm loading sequence, as well as a screenshot showing that I have updated to the latest version.
This problem occurs on both my Xbox One as well as my iPhone 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game on my Xbox, but this did not fix the problem.

I've also been having this issue. I don't think mob numbers matter, just that while being crushed or contained they get trapped in the block and sticky piston causing the server to crash. I done a few tests with numbers and other varients but it would always inevitably crash.

This just happened to me today. Upon relaunching the server I can see the blaze's are stuck in the block that was crushing them. I am unable to do anything or run away from the spawner before the realm kicks me out again.
Basically unable to play on my friends server until this issue is resolved.
Edit: Wanted to state that I play on the Bedrock Edition on both Windows 10 and Xbox One. It crashes on each platform.

We have the same issue on my friend's server. Game crashes whenever we use the pistons in our blaze farms. Used to work fine but now the area is basically off limits.

We had the same issue on our realm, but now we can't even go within about 4 or so chunks from the farm without the game crashing. It worked fine at first (other than when I was building it I would get kicked if I stepped on a pressure plate).

Also having this issue in Realm server with 1.2.3 (Bedrock) clients.
Blaze spawner was converted into a grinder and while initially working, now the moment a player enters the chunk in the Nether, the Realm crashes.
Currently one player is stuck in the chunk and crashes the Realm every time he attempts to join and any player attempting to enter the chunk crashes the Realm which restores itself to the last autosave before the crash.
Clients include: XB1, Win10, IOS and Android.

Funny, this EXACT SAME SCENARIO happened on my friend's realm. 1 person hasn't been able to play at all for weeks because they logged out in the "bugged chunk"at our blaze farm.
100% change of the entire realm crashing and taking ~5 minutes to reboot whenever someone steps foot in that chunk. We test it at least 1 time a week to see if it's fixed, it's always broke.
PLEASE FIX IT!!!!

If you are a owner of the realm and people cant get on because of this or you know the owner tell them to put the realm in peaceful let the person join then change it back to the desired difficulty. I have the same issue on my realm and this is the only way that i have found to fix it for now. The number of mobs is not the cause it it your crushers and the piston funnel that are the cause. Dont use the crushers and if a blaze gets stuck in the funnel hope that its not going to crash! Mojang Please patch this!
