I've been camping like crazy in the nether trying to collect up wither skulls to beat the wither for a beacon. the first skull i got was on my first wither skelly kill with Looting 1. since then ive killed maybe 500 wither skellys with no skull drops and i have upgraded to Looting 3. i don't know if this bug is an enchanting/Looting bug or if it is to do with the skull drop rates but at this rate ill be spending the next 6 months (IRL time) trying to get a beacon.

This was a bedrock created world.
i don't know if the bug itself is specific to the seed im using but ive been grinding like a crazy person trying to get a beacon. might it be better to go from a fresh enchanted looting 3? I know the drop rates are around that 5-10% with looting so i might it a test on a freshly enchanted looting 3. do you know if there is a looting variable between iron sword and diamond?
Cheers,

Was this on a world coverted from 4J legacy console, or a newly created world in Bedrock?
On a new Bedrock world in version 1.2.6.2, I found the following results (which while not necessarily conclusive, appear normal):
Using a looting 3 sword, 29 wither skellies dropped:
5 stone swords
46 Coal
70 Bones
3 Heads (10.3%)
Then Round 2: Looting 3 sword, 52 skellies yielded:
15 swords
63 Coal
96 Bones
3 Heads (5.7%)
Then Round 3, Using a looting 1 sword, with a looting 3 book added afterwards, it took 64 skellies to drop:
26 stone swords
81 Coal
116 Bones
3 Heads (4.6%)
