Temple Spawning Locations Broken

The locations that temples spawn is broken. In all previous versions of the game temples like desert temples and witch huts could spawn next to each other or touching, however now they cannot seem to spawn next to each other in the latest version.

Evidently there must be a bug putting a minimum boundary in between the structures, because other structures like villages can still spawn together.

****Issue reposted as it was unjustly closed as a feature request.

This reposted report is invalid.

In MCPE-29912 you said "If this is supposed to be like this, please consider allowing temples to spawn together again".

You are speculating that logic was added to enforce a minimum separation between generated structures. I don't know whether there actually is any such logic, but if there is it would undoubtedly be intentional. Allowing structures to overlap or, except for villages, to generate side by side produces an unnatural-looking composite, usually flawed by discontinuities between them. That spoils immersion, which Mojang generally wants in the game. Conversely, if there is no such logic, then there is nothing to fix. Either way, you are asking Mojang to change something that isn't broken. By definition, that is a feature request and should be made on the feedback site.

You made my report invalid as I was 'speculating' then you go onto write a whole paragraph speculating lmao. You're just some helper on a feedback website, you don't actually know any of that so stop disabling threads and wait for someone who actually knows if it is working as intended - then they can close it.

Besides that, 'immersion' what are you going on about? If that really is the case then why can Villages spawn completely breaking other villages, why can temples spawn breaking villages, why can goldmines spawn breaking temples and villages? Why do Dungeons spawn destroying strongholds? Lol, like I just said please find someone who actually knows.

This exact request has already been tagged as a feature request by "someone who actually knows". Resubmitting it doesn't change that. I was attempting to explain why resubmitting it was futile, so that you can take your request to the appropriate venue and perhaps get what you want.

My judgment isn't final, and we will both see what the moderators decide. You already knew that, though, so I guess you just felt like you needed to belittle someone.

I'm very sorry if you're upset, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or belittle you. But you are missing the point, this isn't about feature requests and I think you know that. Sure, in the original blog I hinted at it by making an assumption, but quite frankly youve closed this thread unjustly because you don't actually know whether this is a bug or not. You and your mod friends may decide to brush this off as just a 'feature request', and whilst that's annoying I'm sure in the future someone else will find this issue and you'll have to find the correct personal to tell if it is a bug or not.

We are encouraged not to treat MoJira as a chat tool and to encourage our users not to either, so let us not prolong this conversation. (The MoJira subreddit is available for such discussions.) I do want to reassure you that I'm not hurt, and to emphasize that I cannot "close a thread" or dispose of it in any way. My judgment is trusted, but never rubber-stamped: A moderator will reconsider this report despite what I suggest as a disposition. Also, I'm not blind to your point, I just strongly doubt Mojang will choose to increase the number of chaotic structures generated for any reason, even if their reduction was unintentionally caused. But I don't make the decisions, so let's leave it in their hands now (as it already was anyway).

Understood - one last thing. Whilst I can see where you are coming from, there's a good possibility it could be a bug. If you look at the latest update there's been a tonne of world generation bugs including the Birch M's not spawning, the infinite mineshaft and Mesa goldmine bug and also the bug stopping Plains M biomes from spawning. And hey, the developers clearly have some liking for crazy world gen features, combo villages and amplified villages being a couple of examples, so there still is a fraction of a chance that it is indeed a bug.

I forgot to mention: The devs occasionally check the Mojira subreddit and frequently can be found on the Minecraft Discord #support channel. You can likely get an authoritative answer to your question there much faster than through Mojira. With respect to world generation being buggy, of course it is, but to my knowledge no fix has ever intentionally increased the chaos. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I know one time that happened, just in the last update they changed PC Villages to look 'cooler' essentially, by allowing them to spawn closer to biome edges, leading to broken villages on mountains and entire villages spawning in the middle of oceans 😉 but thank you for the link.
