[MCPE-30223] Top area of screen is not displayed on iPhone X

The top area of screen on iPhone X is cut.
Perhaps the cut size equals homebar height.

I cannot see hearts and babbles.

I suspect this has something to do with the changes to the Screen Safe Area. If you could, please try changing the safe area (in Settings > Video) to something random, then setting it appropriately for your device. Let us know if that fixes it.

Hi Aki-san, I changed the screen safe area from 100 to 0, so this made possible for me to see hearts and bubbles. In fact, the upper part of hears is still cut off, but somehow I can play the game.

Hi Hajime-san,

The screen safe area configuration seems that ten’s complement value of the specified value is reflected.
If I set 0, but 100 is reflected.

By setting 100, I also can see hearts and bubbles.

I don't think we need to enable it.
The setting is under [Settings] - [Video]. Then, you need to scroll down to the bottom of "Video Settings".
To be exact, the name is "Change Screen Safe Area".

Thanks hajime-san. I didn’t realize that setting is only available from the initial screen not while you are in a world. It was already set to zero and I didn’t change it but just visiting that setting seems to have corrected the problem

Still an issue in the latest version. The UI is all over the place and various settings such as safe area or UI scale seem to do nothing or even revert to previous settings. Putting certain buttons out of reach makes the game unplayable. Do these fixes ever get tested? I find it remarkable that this would get signed off on and released.
