Dogs keep consuming meat at an incredible pace after their tail is all the way up and they are in love mode. They can eat a whole stack of meat. After you lift your finger, they stop.
Is this a "feature"? Very dog-like behavior I guess. But they should probably throw up the excess food a minute later.
