After the 1.2.9 Update, when you sign in to Xbox live, the game crashes continuously even you don't have texture packs, addons. If you open it up, you see the Minecraft select screen then it freezes and crashes after a few seconds. If you don't sign-in the game doesn't crash. I don't know if this is a issue or bug, or if my device doesn't support Minecraft Bedrock anymore.
Device: Amazon Fire HD 8' (Fire OS 5.6.0.1, Android 5.1.1)

I have this same problem. For now, to avoid auto sign in, just open the app without wifi connection, go into settings quickley, and click sign out if it completes a sign in.
