[MCPE-30235] Minecraft PE Start Crash

I lode Up Minecraft Pocket Edition but when I signed in to Xbox live, A few seconds Minecraft Crashes! I tried deleting and installing but failed. I tried to restart the IPad but it failed again.

same problem, Windows 10, 1.2.9 version. As long as I don't try to sign into xbox I can play on my single player worlds. As soon as it tries to connect to xbox it closes the minecraft app. Funny cause I did the 1.2.9 update this morning and I was able to play realms after, about 8 hours later when i tried to play, the crashing started.

Same happened with my iPad Air 2, I was able to play few hours ago but now it crashes when Xbox gets signed in, v1.2.9

I have nearly the same issue on my iPhone X, where the screen freezes upon start up or in game especially during weather changes.

Same here, i started up my MC:W10 and later with Xbox Live logged in the game crashes!

I'm having the same issue on my samsung gs6. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing seems to help. I can play all day when not logged into Xbox. As soon as I log into xbox live, crashes at random. My daughters both have gs6's and have not experienced this as of yet.

Same issue. Minecraft PE for iOS updated last night to ver. 1.2.9, as soon as the update was finished, it crashes when it goes to sign into Xbox Live. No error message, just sent back to iOS home screen but the app remains open and will continue the loop if selected. Uninstalling, reinstalling, complete restore of iPad fails to fix the issue.

Hardware: iPad 5th gen.

Update on Android does not have this issue. BUT if I use the XBox ID associated with the iPad, it will crash on other devices.

Same issue on two of my three kid’s tablets. Updated to 1.2.9, they are running android 5.1.1. If I put them in airplane mode, MC runs fine. All the tablets are same make/model and one works just fine.

I have been experiencing this same issue on WIndows 10 and Android. If I log into either device with my XBox account there are no issues but when I sign in with either of my kids accounts on the same device Minecraft crashes.

Ever since the 1.2.9 update, my Phone (Android) Has crashed a few seconds after opening Mine craft but the Main Menu/Title screen if completely Off balance. The "MINECRAFT" Logo is below "Play-achievement-Settings-Store" and the yellow splash text is at the bottom of the screen a few seconds later the game crahses... not even a force close or a restart can reset it...

I have a hunch some of these issues may be MCPE-30224 manifesting in a different way. The first change that happens to the title screen is replacing the "Signing in to Xbox Live" message with a pair of buttons. If the texture pack has messed up the UI, this could cause a crash that, because of the timing, looks like it's associated with signing in but is only so incidentally. You might actually be signing in successfully, but crashing because of a texture pack.

You might want to check MCPE-30224. It has workarounds for deleting texture packs from outside the game. Android users can, I think, figure it out from the Win10 workaround, just ignore the folder path names up to com.mojang.

This idea doesn't appear to have helped anyone. Please disregard it.

No texture packs are in use on any of the devices being used. Again, if I take away the internet from the device, MC works just fine.

Just to troubleshoot further, I signed out one of the accounts while in airplane mode, then restarted MC and signed in XBL in another account that is working. MC ran fine and I was able to connect to realms. I signed that account out and then signed the original account back in and MC crashed immediately. These accounts were all recenlt created and have all the same settings on Privacy and Online safety section.

i only have the texture pack on window10 , but it is not enabled and I have the same issue on android with no texture packs installed. Not texture packs.

Further troubleshooting: I took one of the affected accounts and signed into two different working MC installs: an iOS device and Xbox One. With that account signed in MC crashed while trying to load on both installs. Maybe this is similar to the chat log hashing problem where there is something on the account causing it that has to be unlocked?
