FPS stays at 0.0 making games/servers lag and crash

FPS staying at 0.0 is reported in MCPE-30536. (Note that this is a false reading and cannot itself cause lag or a crash.)

Your game crashing when you join a server is probably because you are using the Beta release. Servers do not generally install Beta releases, and your client and the server must use the same release. However, it should give you an error message instead of crashing the game.

If you want to play on servers more than you want to test the updated features in the Beta, you will need to leave the Beta program, uninstall Minecraft, and then reinstall it from the store. (It's probably a good idea to wait a few minutes before attempting to reinstall.)

And if you want to play on a server with beta, you can try Mineplex, it has already upgraded
