There are no Realms in the Beta

1.2.10 is a beta release. Realms will never allow connections to a beta release, for a very good reason. Beta releases are not well tested and should be assumed to contain serious bugs, including bugs capable of corrupting a world and making it permanently unplayable. You wouldn't want to destroy the Realm you've spent a lot of time building, or have someone else destroy it, because they unwisely played it with code that's known to contain serious bugs, would you?

To get your money's worth from your Realms subscription, you need to go back to 1.2.9. First, leave the beta, then make sure you have up-to-date backups of your worlds, then uninstall Minecraft, and finally reinstall it from the store.

You might want to think more carefully before joining a beta again. It's cool to see new features and get fixes for old bugs, but this comes at the price of new, possibly catastrophic bugs that can destroy your worlds. You should never risk your only copy of a world that's important to you by playing it in a beta release.

i had been playing realms with friends. didnt have time to touch it for a few weeks. it auto updated at some point to the 1.2.10 beta. i have uninstalled, cleared my save data, grab from the store again. in the store, the details show 1.2.9, but after install it is back to 1.2.10 again. stuck.

The only way it could have auto updated is if you joined the beta. (It could be that you joined the original beta program last summer and never left it, so you were automatically still in the program for the recent beta. I'm not sure it works that way, but it seems likely it would.) Before you will be able to connect to Realms, you must leave the beta program. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that on an Android device. I would suggest asking for help to leave the beta on Reddit or the Minecraft Discord.

Warning: Any world which you have opened in the beta release has already been upgraded and can no longer be downgraded to work in 1.2.9. If you have backups from before the upgrade, you should restore those after downgrading. If you don't have backups, you won't be able to play those worlds again until the official release of 1.2.10.
