Minecraft PE carrots infinitely auto-harvesting - causes lag/freeze

Hello - I’m playing Minecraft PE on my iPhone 8 and this bug/glitch has now happened in 2 of my worlds and I’ve had to abandon them because of it. Both times, carrots and wheat within vision range of me begin to infinitely pop out of the place they were growing, seeming to auto-harvest. The infinite source of carrots would be cool, but it completely bogs down everything in the game and I can barely move around and can’t really do much else - super laggy.

Please help! I’d hate to have to ditch another world due to a bug.
