Blue Ice and Packed ice cannot be faster using Efficiency

Does anyone know if 1.6 beta versions are still affected? Mega Spud or another mojang or mojira staff could find out?

It does affect 1.6.* also. Please add a vote and any new information to the main ticket, which will be updated accordingly.
