The following is on an Amazon Kindle Fire 7
I think I have spotted a bug regarding Minecraft Coin purchasing (and add-on purchasing) through an Amazon Kindle Fire.
To reproduce:
1. Set a child's profile to "Enable in-app purchases"
2. Using the child's profile buy Minecraft coins through the Minecreaft app
3. Use Minecraft coins to buy an add on.
4. Start using the add on
5. Change the child's profile to disable in-app purchases
6. Using the child's profile start playing Minecreaft again
7. All Minecraft coins have gone and the add-on is disabled
I have contacted Amazon who believe the issue is at your end.

I can reproduce this issue on the current version of Minecraft.
In your attempt to reproduce did you use an Amazon Family child account and parent account? This is critical to reproduce. A Microsoft Family child and parent account may also be critical to reproduce.
There are a lot of reports on this JIRA that have been closed as duplicates of this issue, which in turn has been closed as Can't Reproduce.
The problem also occurs with accounts that are restricted with Parental Controls.
1. Buy the Minecraft coins through Amazon App store
2. Purchase an add-one through the Minecraft store using Minecraft coins
3. All seems to work well for a small period of time.
4. Suddenly Minecraft coins disappear i.e. reset to zero and the add-on is disabled.
