Crafting UI bug

Using mouse and keyboard controls, placing a lot of items in the crafting bench, then pressing + shift to craft about 64 items like crafting 64 planks from 16 wood for example, directly after that the item in the player inventory becomes unmovable by mouse or keyboard or controller, the player still can quite the UI. this happens in 2*2 and 3*3 crafting.

Device:ย Low end Windows 10 device (Notebook)

Update:

I realized the issue makes the UI responses slower and not making the items completely unmovable.

Edit by @unknown
UI responds very sluggishly at times. This is especially noticeable whenever the game is loading and rendering chunks, either initially after loading a world or later when changing dimensions or moving rapidly through a dimension. It seems as if UI panels do not open, and open panels do not react to inputs, until the rendering has finished.

Can you add a few more details to help reproduce the issue please? (Issue guidelines linked below)

Thanks for updating the description. Do you have any add-ons or texture packs applied? If so, which ones specifically, and does removing them resolve the issue for you?

Yes, I have and it's: Faithful 32*32, but even when I remove it it still happens.

The affected version 1.2.16.3 was only released to iOS, but your device is shown as Windows 10. What device and version are you currently using?

Also, please check that you can reproduce this problem after removing texture packs from both the Resource Packs section of the game settings and the Global Resources section of the app settings. (Resource Packs doesn't replace or override Global Resources, it adds additional packs.)

Sorry for submitting the wrong effected version. After updating to 1.4 I found out it's effected too.

The issue still there without using any texture pack.

Thank you for the updates. One more question: Does this only happen during the first few minutes after loading the world? I have found that UI panels (inventory, crafting bench, chest, in-game menu, etc.) are very slow during the time the game is initially loading and rendering chunks. The effect goes away once all the chunks within the render distance have been loaded, but it can come back to a degree if you change dimensions or rapidly change your position (e.g. flying in Creative mode). Does this describe your experience?

Does the issue improve if you turn off screen animations? (Settingsโ†’Videoโ†’Screen Animations)

Well now, here's a surprise! @unknown, I don't care for the menu animations and have always kept them off. So to test your theory I turned them on...and the slow responsiveness disappeared. Like, completely! I went back and forth a couple times to verify that I wasn't just seeing a memory priming effect, and I wasn't. The correlation seems reliable.

Edit 5 days later
After additional experimentation, turning on the screen animations seems to improve the situation but not eliminate it. When I first load a large world, pressing E brings up my inventory UI immediately, but if I close it and turn in another direction before trying to open it again, I get a UI animation (a row of vertical bars, like a phone signal strength indicator, but animated so the high bars move left and right) for a few seconds before the UI appears. Based on past experiences, when I turn a short time after loading a world, I can see chunks being rendered from me toward the horizon, and the UI (without animations) doesn't appear until those chunks have all been rendered.

Another affect of this lag is that if you open a chest soon after loading a world, you see the chest open animation immediately but the inventory UI doesn't appear for several seconds.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket has not been updated recently (~1 year+) so is being closed as Cannot Reproduce. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines.
