Water should not be flowing through solid faces of waterlogged blocks. From what I've seen, this works correctly in Java edition snaphots.

This has been open since 2018 and still doesn't match java in terms of feature parity in 1.19.40
The ability for trapdoors to both prevent water from flowing (through it's face) in java edition as well as being able to be controlled by simple redstone is a key part of early mob farms and these farms cannot be built in bedrock edition.
Please add this feature to match java edition. I see some work has been done regarding waterlogged stairs and the like which is good news, but this particular feature (or lack of a feature, more specifically) for waterlogged trap doors is literally why I don't play bedrock edition.
First: On Java Edition, full block faces block the flow from the water source, but not on Bedrock Edition.
Second: On the Java Edition, the door creates an air pocket in the water, while on the Bedrock Edition it doesn't.
If the second can still be called a minor difference between the editions, although I don’t agree with this (the developers themselves said that you can use doors to explore the aquifers added in 1.17, but this won’t work on Bedrock), then the second is a clear flaw, which is already has been in need of repair for many years.
Also please reconsider MCPE-171003
This bug also affects Android and iOS.
