Cannot place button behind item frame

When watching tutorials on making bathrooms in Java they place a button behind an item frame then a quartz block in the frame.  You cannot do this on the bedrock version.

This is working as intended. Item frames in bedrock are considered as blocks rather than entities meaning only one of the items you mentioned can be placed in the same spot.

Jeffery, it may be intended but I was talking with someone who works on Bedrock edition on Reddit and they said they were going for parity with java edition and to post anything that doesn't work the same way as a bug on here.

Thats not how it works. This is a bug tracker meaning if the current feature is not the same as java does not mean it is a bug. You said it yourself, the tutorial was for java not bedrock and like I said item frames are considered as blocks in bedrock edition so you are suggesting a feature rather than a bug.

You can argue with me all you want but I was directed by a developer that works on Bedrock Edition to do this so I will continue doing as I was directed.

The bug tracker is not the place for parity suggestions.

tryashtar - I was specifically instructed by a developer of the Bedrock edition to put these things here. Here is a link to the thread where I was told to do this.. and a copy and paste of what I was told.

  1. Yes! Java parity is really important to us! Whenever you find anything that works differently between Java and Bedrock, please add a bug on bugs.mojang.com so it can be routed to the right team (usually the Vanilla Gameplay Team. This is the team I originally was part of when I first joined the Minecraft Team and I can promise those bugs are looked at constantly)

Yes.that is true. However this is the current INTENDED BEHAVIOR of item frames. I'll say this again and again: just because the current feature is different it does not mean that it is a bug. Because if that was the case, why are piston mechanics different? Simple answer, because that is the current feature.
