On June 23 I linked Minecraft for Nintendo Switch to my Microsoft account to play cross-platform with my wife, and after trying like 10 minutes, we managed to access to the world created on the Nintendo Switch from Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, there we noticed that the Windows 10 player's name had an "[1]" attached to the end (e.g. Switch: notch; Windows10: notch[1]), but we managed to play for a while. Now we have not been able to play together again, we've tried everything! (not that there is a lot to try...)
The Windows 10 account we're using in Windows is the same I registered in the Nintendo Switch, which made me thing that cross-platform playing wouldn't be possible, but it was. So I think that a bug let us play before, or that a bug is not allowing us to play anymore...
If cross-platform with the "same account" (even though we paid for both games) is not possible I would like to know, so I can give feedback in the right place and suggest that this becomes possible.
Thanks.

I didn't manage to crossplay with one account but once you bought and download Minecraft you can change the Xbox Live account.
1 ) Download/buy Minecraft for Windows 10 with your main Xbox Live account
2 ) Create an other Xbox Live account
3 ) Switch to this account
