Issue with "Sign in with a Microsoft account" button

I'm not aware whether this should go to microsoft or mojang, but I figured I would send it here. In Minecraft's bedrock edition, (on switch, and possibly other platforms) I am not sure on how it came to be, but only on some consoles, the sign in button will not work. My brother's switch is just fine, signing him in. Mine, on the other hand, tries to auto-sign in, then fails. when is push the sign in button, it brings up the connecting screen, but instead of giving me a code, the connecting screen disappears, bringing me back to the title screen, as if nothing had happened. I have deleted and re-installed the game multiple times, along with just arciving it a couple of times, I have given it time to sit, leaving it downloaded just not being played, and I have spammed the button, seeing if it was a one time thing. Evidentally, it was not, which is why I came here.

This sounds like MCPE-34662. Does that report describe your problem?

That describes my problem exactly, yes.

This issue has been closed as a duplicate of MCPE-34662 per your information. You may want to vote for that issue, as well as watch it so you can get an email whenever it's updated.

Also, let me warn you that at least some Switch users are having problems joining a world hosted on another Switch. There are two ways to play Switch to Switch—via Xbox Live using a Microsoft account, or via Nintendo Switch Online using your Nintendo account. Unfortunately, the problem seems to affect both methods. So even after you manage to sign in to Xbox Live, you may still be unable to join your brother's world until that bug, MCPE-34846, is also fixed. You might also want to vote for and/or watch that issue as well. In the mean time, you should be able to join worlds hosted on Realms or on a non-Switch device if you like.
