Unable to join Switch world with PC via LAN

Prior to the release of "Update Aquatic Part. 2" it was possible to connect the same Xbox Live account to PC and Nintendo Switch, after doing so you could host a world on your Nintendo Switch and then join it via LAN on PC.

This is no longer possible after the "Update Aquatic Part. 2" update. The Nintendo Switch world is inaccessible from a PC using the same Xbox Live account (Note that other Xbox Live accounts from PC are capable of joining the world)

Here is a video guide on how to join your Minecraft world on PC, this guide no-longer works due to this issue.

Updated to include v1.5.1.2 as an affected version.

This is still happening on v1.6.0.

This doesn’t appear to actually be a bug, but rather fixing unintended behavior (i.e. Works As Intended).

Nintendo Switch has its own “Local Network Mode” for LAN and can only play locally with other nearby Nintendo Switch consoles in this mode. It cannot play via LAN with other devices in this mode.

It is also not intended to use the same account to host a world on a different device and/or have multiple instances of the same account in a world simultaneously.
