Also experiencing large UI scaling with new Create World screen UI when Settings → Video → GUI Scale Modifier is set to 0 (default).

Game Version: 1.18.20.22 Preview
Device: iPhone 11, iOS 15.2.1

Attached video shows UI scale difference when switching to new UI at same GUI Scale Modifier.

I also still experience the overly large UI scaling (title bar, tabs, icons). Additionally the left column is not scrollable.

Expected behavior:
The left column can be scrolled to view all information in the list (percentage, in progress, rewards, gamerscore, time played).

Observed behavior:
The left column is fixed and cannot be scrolled when when Settings → Video → GUI Scale Modifier is set to 0 (default). Only percentage, in process, and rewards items in the list are visible.

Game version:
1.16.221

Device:
iPhone 11
iOS 14.5

Image 2: Smaller UI, left column viewable. Smaller UI, Settings → Video → GUI Scale Modifier is set to -1

This may be working as intended. The lantern is only available when Experimental Gameplay is enabled. Experimental Gameplay features have not been documented to be supported on Realms.

I am able to reproduce this issue. It appears to be an issue with player permissions not updating when activating cheats on a copied world. It’s unknown if this is intended behavior or a bug.

Version: 1.8.1

Device, Platform: iPhone 8, iOS 12.1.3

Expected behavior (control/reference):

Creating a new survival world without cheats activated assigns the player Member permissions.

Expected behavior (control/reference):

Creating a new survival world with cheats activated assigns the player Operator permissions.

Observed behavior (test/issue):

Copying a survival world (World Settings → Game → Copy World) without cheats activated and then enabling cheats does not update the player permissions from Member to Operator.

Workaround:

Load the coped world (with cheats now enabled) and change your player permission level to Operator.  Pause → Player Permission → Operator (crown icon)

Can you confirm that the toggle to hide the HUD hasn't been enabled? Settings → Video → Hide HUD.

If this setting is enabled, then it is working as intended. If you did not intentionally enable this setting, that may be a related, but separate, issue

This issue is being tracked in REALMS-1511. A fix was rolled out a few hours ago. You may need to restart the Realm by temporarily closing and then re-opening the Realm in Realm Settings for the fix to be applied.

This issue is being tracked in REALMS-1511. A fix is in the works.

Can you confirm your version number and device/platform? You indicated Beta 1.9.0.5, but this version is not available for iOS.

Please also describe how you are attempting to join each other's worlds (Friends tab, Invite to Game button, etc.) and whether you are playing on the same LAN or attempting to join over Xbox Live.

After further testing, I can confirm that this issue does seem to be caused by player’s Xbox Live online status and not a platform issue as previously thought.

  • Multiplayer worlds do not appear in the Friends tab when a player’s Xbox Live online status is set to “Appear offline.”

  • Multiplayer worlds do appear in the Friends tab when a player’s Xbox Live online status is set to “Appear online.”

Note that 2 of the accounts tested are primarily used on mobile and Switch and did not change their status. I am not sure if the default setting was “Appear offline.”

In versions prior to 1.8.x, multiplayer worlds appeared in the Friends tab for both “Appear offline” and “Appear online” statuses. Changing the status appears to be a workaround for players on Windows 10 and Xbox One platforms, but not for mobile or Nintendo Switch as this setting is not changeable via the mobile Xbox App or site.

I presume further investigation would focus on whether this change in behavior is caused by changes to the game or Xbox Live.

This appears to be duplicate bug report. This issue is currently being investigated. Please see comment on the existing bug report with additional information: MCPE-39539.

For the issue with worlds downloaded from Realms not loading (“saved in a newer version” message), please see the updated note for REALMS-1399.

For the issue of respawning and dying in a different location (original world spawn) upon loading a world, please see MCPE-38374.

When entering the world or respawning did you also fall from a higher height? If so, it sounds like a known issue. Please see MCPE-38374

This may be working as intended.
