Briefly got a glimpse of a screen telling me about a hotfix update, but the app crashed before I read much more. Repeated attempts to load met with similar results with no update screen. Title screen comes up slow but fine, background is beaches and balloons, then the app crashes.

It happens to me too but it doesn't say anything about a hotfix update. It just loads normally, gets to the main menu, lags, then crashes. Sometimes I don't even get to the main menu. By the way I'm using Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and v1.5.1. I have recorded this at https://youtu.be/VscmSnSg1VA
