My son's iPad won't launch Minecraft PE after the 7/21/18 update. No issues before the update. He uses it daily and a lot. I see forum posts with similar issues. Searched and didn't see a JIRA ticket.
We see the Mojang logo, then the Minecraft logo before it crashes. No error messages. Has rebooted iPad several time, nothing else is running. iPad2, 16 GB, 3.7 GB free. iOS 9.3.5 (latest). Minecraft PE 1.5.1. (7/21/18). He has 1.1 GB Minecraft docs, >400 worlds.

Same issue on two iPad 4's running ios 10.3.3 since the 1.5.1 update. No issues before that.

Since the 7/21/18 so called update I can't even get past the part where it says MOJANG upon trying to start to get on the app itself. I play every evening an this problem is very upsetting to say the least.

My iphone6 is having the same issues and it’s driving me crazy!
WiFi or sprint network either one my game freezes! I can’t even get past the startup screen in WiFi.

ive been having the same problems on my iPad mini 2, I can get on the game though very laggy but when I try load a world it crashes only once since the update have I been able to get in a world after trying many many times

I’ve been having the same problem. I will click on a world, and it’ll bring me to the loading screen. Then, my game crashes. Also the background on the main screen has been lagging. People have said, you can delete the app and redownload it, and it will work just fine, but I do not want to delete the app because I do not want to lose my worlds. I hope it’ll be fixed soon.

Exactly! I’ve been rebuilding my world for a long time since the last time I removed and reloaded the app! I lost so much!!!
I can make a little progress if I’m not on WiFi but I’m tired of having to completely close out and restart after just a few minutes of work before it freezes me out again. Also I can’t play with my partner in crime if I can’t play on WiFi! Hurry hurry hurry and fix this bug!!!!!
