When I loaded up Minecraft bedrock edition (better together version, Xbox one), the first thing I did was try to create a copy of one of my worlds as a friend warned me that his save became corrupted today.. Mid back-up, my game restarted and I am no longer able to load up the world. It seems corrupted. I get an error message, 'Failed to sync world data - This world is not fully synced or has been corrupted. Try playing the world on a console where it's in a good state and try migrating it again'. Both the original save file and the back up are affected. I've been in touch with Xbox support and I have tried resetting my console (keeping games and apps). I have also tried deleting my account from my console and redownloading it. However the desired save files still fail to sync. What is going on? Also more save files have met the same fate since I first encountered this issue about a week ago when I first emailed Mojang. Please help! I'm losing worlds left, right and centre, some of which I've put hundreds of hours into!

I too have had this problem in my Bedrock Edition World on my XBOX ONE X I put 3 Months into this world, and all those hours of work gone. I had no choice but to delete the save since I was frustrating myself, and all of my friends

I'm having this same issue and it is becoming a nuisance.. I've lost two worlds because of this and I'm sick of it. . So much of my time invested just to have them delete the next day or even the next couple hours. I don't even want to play now, simply because I feel like its a waste of time.. Fix this because sooner rather than later your going to lose other minecraft players and I mean the faithful ones who have been here for years. They'll get tired of creating a new world just to have it corrupt also.. Especially these old worlds they have countless hours in.. I am so very upset and dissapointed..
Mojang.. This bug should be your number one priority to fix..
I think this is likely to be related (or the same issue as) MCPE-35364 which is currently being worked on.

I don't believe this to be the same issue, as none of my worlds were renamed, but the last image he posted shows that it may be linked as he received the same error message as I did when trying to load one of his worlds.

I am suffering from this issue too. Just after they fixed the other issue recently too. I hope it gets fixed soon. It doesn't crash my game like the last one. It seems to be unable to sync the last 25% of certain world files over a certain threshold. Mine happened after a factory reset of my Xbox.

It seems to be a problem with syncing data on larger world files. Yes, I know I said it before, but it is only happening to my large world files and by the sound of it the issue is only happening to worlds people have put extended time into, which would likely mean a file size increase. My world was over 850 MB. What are your world sizes?

My Backup just randomly decided to work. Trying to repeat on standard.

Standard file failed. No idea what helped the backup. It is too outdated to be worth the time. It seemed to resync my data for it somehow.

Tried to load on another Xbox. Still failed. I guess we just have to wait.

Ugh. This is taking a long time. Mega_Spud, is there any new news on the progress? I cannot find anymore info on it sadly.

Still happening. The problem seems pretty isolated as far as worlds go. Still can't find what triggers the issue.

Still happening. A bigger ticket is open. Check it out under world-save.

I just updated minecraft to 1.7.0 on the Xbox Once, my last time playing was October 12th 2018 and everything was working FINE.
First off, the game took a while to load the main menu. For a while the camera was just spinning in circles underwater before any options showed up.
Then, i try loading my 158.0MB world and it says “this world is not fully synced or has been corrupted. Try playing on a console where it’s in a good state and try migrating again.” The world image is greyed out.
I just played on 2018-10-12 as the world save shows, and everything was fine. I’ve had to reset my Xbox which is why I needed to sync user data and load my world in from the cloud, but I had to do that this summer as well and I’ve previously loaded saves from the cloud without issue.
I’ve done nothing wrong and yet I’m getting this issue now. I never would’ve started a world on the Xbox one if I knew this was a possibility.
My game world should be safe on the cloud, regardless of any bug. I sure hope that this bug can get fixed, and that I’ll eventually be able to load my world like normal.
I’ve read through the forum posts like this one that have all had similar issues since the summer, I’ve just started having this issue now - but I’m already devastated at the thought of my world being corrupted, especially when I’m not at fault.

It seems this should a top priority from the amount of people having this issue. I stream my world daily and can't get into it, not putting more hours into a new world to have this happen again. Me and my viewers have thousands of hours in the world that is having an issue and now what? Really wishing I would not have made the change from the Xbox One Edition a few months ago, don't know what I was thinking. Anyone know how we get updates on the progress of the ticket for this?

There have been fixes for these kind of issues with the 1.7 release, that should prevent this from happening in the future with large worlds. That being said. The best chance to recover your world, as far as i'm aware, is to create a copy of the world.
To give some more detail about why this might or might not work. Worlds are stored locally and if the local data is updated or created, it gets uploaded/synced to the cloud (by a background process that runs on the console). In case you want to load a world (view the world list), a check is done, if the data in the cloud is the same as your local save. If it is not the same and you want to open this world, this will trigger the sync process to download/sync the world from the cloud. If your world is not in sync (local data being the same as the cloud) the image will be gray in most cases. (The image being gray can also happen when the world is not properly closed for example)
In case you have reinstalled the console or removed the game. The local save data is lost. And the system fully relies on the cloud data in that case. (this works the same on the Xbox One Edition)
In case the cloud data is corrupted and this is the only source, it is unlikely you are able to restore this.

I just encountered a similar problem on my xbox one. While my world was saving, Minecraft crashed and immediately brought me to the dashboard. Upon re-entering the app, my world was completely gone. I tried troubleshooting (through microsoft forums) and I only managed to get my world back on the dashboard in black and white. Now it just says the world is corrupt. Wondering if this is fixable. Probably not.

"Syncing user data – This may take a few moments – "
Stuck on this dialog – none of my worlds are available..... Help!

Getting very frustrated. My world, my backup world and all other worlds will not sync – same problem addressed by others. Latest version on xBox one.

Minecraft will not upload large worlds. Once the world is around 1GB it stops the upload and says I need to free up more space. But I have lots of available space so it doesn’t make sense to me

I am having this same issue. My world is around 200 megabytes and every time I download a copy of my realm, it tells me I have to free up space before I can save it but i have more than enough space so I don't understand why it tells me this.. please fix this problem. I make backups of my realm often and having 6 older copies might not be enough if it corrupts.
