When loading beta 1.6.0.8 using the ChromaHills resource pack, game does not load. Have tested with other resource packs from store (eg: Vikings), as well as vanilla, and issue does not occur.
To recreate:
Load game with ChromaHills resource pack in "Active Packs" position 1
Select play
Loading screen with display, when text would normally switch from vanilla to ChromaHills, the game will quit back to the Xbox dashboard.

Since Tuesday, August 31, I have exactly the same problem!
I have the impression that there has been a Minecraft update and since then, big problem with ChromaHills.
Also after uninstalling and reinstalling the "ChromaHills" texture pack, I'm ejected from the game and found myself on the Xbox homepage.
I am obliged to use the basic pack of Minecraft.
What should we expect as a solution?

I've had this exact issue as well. Thought it would be a problem with HD Textures but haven't had an opportunity to test other ones myself.
Windows 10 Laptop. Game crashes when trying to apply Chroma Hills, regardless of which slot I try to place the pack in. Also regardless of which resolution setting (64x or 128x) I have set Chroma Hills to.
