Autosave creates immense amounts of lag and rendering lag also happens for 2-5 minutes at a time. saves far too often back to back (seen by the display of arrow into chest at the top right of the screen as the autosave symbol, lag occurs immediately when it is displayed and stops when disappears.)

Actually, the autosave doesn't lag your game, since it saves automatically ALL THE TIME. If you think that the autosave ICON is lagging your game, you can disable it in Video Settings.
