Yet again, game updates have lost world progress. Several weeks ago, returning to the game after an update saw one of my oldest worlds - almost 6 years old, had been reverted and lost almost a year's worth of progress.
Today, 1.6.0 update has yet again lost progress. This time, entirely deleting not one, but two worlds (one backup of the other) entirely. These worlds were created just under 2 weeks ago.
I'm getting pretty tired of this. I don't feel I can safely start a large project without the game deleting it. I'd like to know what's going on.

I'm not sure what you mean by beta. I'm using the cross-play version of Minecraft for Xbox One, rather than the Xbox One edition, I believe its titled "Windows 10" version.
I only play on Xbox One, so I haven't changed between any other devices.
It was only just started, so it wasn't very large, but still took several days.
I have noticed that the previous update also caused this issue, so much so that they released a "hot fix" which restored missing worlds. I'm hoping a hot fix will be released for this update too.
Hi Guy. Are you always internet-connected and logged into Xbox Live when you play? I'm not sure it matters, but there should be cloud saves of your worlds, if you are logged in when you play. I think there's a "Sync Old Worlds" or something like that on the UI (not at my Xbox now, sorry). Even though these aren't "old" worlds, I wonder if they live on in the cloud.
Any power interruptions or maybe internet interruptions while playing? A few bug reports here mention lost worlds due to power problems.
I play on Xbox One and <knock on wood> have yet to lose a world since 1.4.3. So I'm grasping at straws here. And now that I've said that I expect my world will be gone when I get home.
Always connected to the internet and always signed into Xbox Live.
I've tried to use the "sync old worlds" but it isn't there either. I too cannot perceive how the world can simply disappear. Since it's not been overwritten like my last world was, it must be somewhere, I can't imagine it has deleted itself, I certainly haven't, considering I made a copy of it.
I've been told that the beta version is "unstable", but I'm pretty sure I'm not even in the beta version of the game. The beta version claims that you cannot access realms... Well I can. So I must not be in the beta version. So it can't be a problem related to that.
In the last month I have lost two worlds completely, when I hit the sync old worlds button nothing happens. Both times I have saved correctly and waited several minutes before shutting down my console. Is there any explanation at all for the xbox one seemingly deleting worlds. On both worlds I have lost considerable build time and don't know if it is going to happen to my other worlds.

Are you able to confirm whether you have joined or left the beta at any point please?
Also, has this happened on a single device, or are you changing between devices and relying on the saves syncing between them? Any extra information would be appreciated.
