[MCPE-37685] Amazon - Server list resets when reopening Minecraft

Steps to Reproduce:

Open Minecraft on an Amazon Fire tablet
Go to the Servers tab
Scroll past the featured servers
Press the Add Server button
Add and save a server
Close and reopen Minecraft
Go to the Servers tab
Scroll past the featured servers

Observed Results:
The server was not saved.

Expected Results:
The server should be saved.

I'm experiencing this same issue on a Kindle Fire version 1.14.1. I can add servers to the server list and save them. The list works and I can join and quit servers, but as soon as I exit the entire app the list clears itself.

This is still an issue with Amazon Fire tablets (7 and HD8) using version 1.16.1 from the Amazon Appstore and when playing in a child's profile under Fire for Kids/FreeTime. Seems to work fine (as in it remembers the server between game/device restarts) using the same version app on an Android mobile phone.

This issue needs to be reopened but I can't see how to reopen it though perhaps it's a problem related to how Fire For Kids/FreeTime works.

This is definitely still an issue for both my kids Kindle Fire 8 HD tablets with the latest version of Minecraft. Child accounts cannot retrieve any saved server info once exiting the game and launching it again.

Upvoting this issue, in my opinion this app on newest Fire HD 10 with this issue is not acceptable given how many young kids are going to be using these devices to discover the game and to connect with their friends. Giving them the task of configuring every time is going to either put many off or at least annoy the hell out of the poor kids who are wanting to hang out with their friends.

Please sort this one out!

Very similar issue here but it seems to only apply to FreeTime accounts, which are the kid accounts and not a normal (adult) account on the same device.

Having this problem too with 1.17 . As what others have said, it only applies if the game is in a FreeTime account. I believe it's related to a file/folder permissions issue due to the restricted nature of FreeTime.

A very easy fix would be to have an option to allow Minecraft to pull the saved server list from the External folder "games\com.mojang\minecraftpe\external_servers.txt" like it how it works with the Windows 10 version. Because worlds can be created and saved just fine.

I can confirm that on both Amazon Fire Kids 8 and 10 tablets, that the fix is working!

Testing: I added my custom server settings, force closed the app/game, restarted the tablets, and all times the server settings persisted.

This is a huge win for my family and thank you for addressing this issue!!
