Minecraft for Windows 10 crashes when playing with Oculus Rift after you remove your headset.
This happens 100% of the time: When I start playing Minecraft VR everything works perfectly. The game runs very smoothly, everything looks good and works as it should, but whenever I remove the headset and put it back on (or even lift it even for a second), the game completely freezes and I need to kill the process in order to reset it and start again.
When I remove the headset, I can see MC running on the Oculus Rift mirror window and it reacts to movement and all, but if the headset is activated again, the 'Minecraft' logo appears to the mirror window and everything freezes (Oculus and the game). It's not random, it happens every single time.
All other VR games work perfectly, no other issues or problems in my system. All drivers are up-to-date, W10 has just been reinstalled including a DDU-assisted graphics card installation.

Thanks for the reply. I also found the workaround through Google and it seems to work every time. I upgraded my graphics card to a newer model from the same manufacturer and the problem vanished. I didn't reinstall anything else except nVidia drivers. It seems the older card (1060) was a part of the problem. The card itself otherwise worked perfectly and had been for years, that was the only issue I ever ran into with that 1060.
Thank you for your report!

It feels like this has always been an issue with this version of Bedrock, for some reason. I sincerely hope that Mojang can take the time to fix this eventually.
In the meantime, I have found an unconventional "fix" somewhere online in case the author or anyone else comes across this: after starting Minecraft VR exit the Oculus desktop app and put the headset back on. This will make the Oculus app restart, and the headset can now be taken on and off with no averse effects on Minecraft. I hope this helps!
