Slime's on bedrock edition will not spawn in light levels higher than 7. This breaks slime farms (which already get extremely low rates due to bad slime spawn rates) and is not in parity with java edition, where slime's can spawn in any light level.
To test this:
Get a super flat. Set to night, make it a full moon, and then set up a repeating command block with /kill @e[type=!slime]. The command will make so you can actually see slime's spawning. After you know they can spawn in an area, fill the surface of that area with torches or other light sources. And no slimes will spawn there. Lights need to be spaced 5 blocks gap apart to make everything 8 or above.
Tested this in slime chunks, and swamps. Nothing.

to be honest, I did a few slime tests related to another bug and I have been seeing slime spawns at high light levels on pumkins. Could this be a time of day issue? I'll run a few more tests to see if I can replicate.
Appears to be for surface and cave spawns. I'm testing in a normal swamp, where i know for certain slimes can spawn. After installing some lights, all spawns in the lit up areas stop. They will however spawn along the edges, where it is darker :/
ok got you, the slime spawn in swamps have a different set of spawning rules to those in slime chunks. Lighting up swamp land will block the slime spawn in swamps.

Light will prevent slimes spawning in swamps, but not in slime chunks.

This seems to be only for surface spawns... I wonder if it works the same for cave spawns.
