Hi,
I just recently installed Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and it was working fine the first time I was playing it. Ever since the 1.8 update dropped I am unable to generate a world. When I hit play and select my world, it starts to load the world and then immediately crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and updating my drivers but to no avail. Is anyone else having this issue?

I am having the same problem with Minecraft Bedrock v 1.8. The world that I have been playing in for 2+ years will not load. Other worlds load, but this one starts to launch as normal, audio begins, and boom, the Minecraft app crashes.
I thought maybe it was because of the size of the game (200MB) but seeing these other reports makes me think that's not the case. Additionally, I went to an older (smaller 170MB) version of this world that I had exported last month as a backup, and had an identical experience.
I also confirmed this was the case on a different computer. My main rig is a dinosaur (Core I72600K, 32GB RAM and a GTX970) but it runs Minecraft really well. The second test computer was a Surface Pro 3, just to see if it would launch. No dice.
I should also add that this world has no resource packs applied, just the basic packs.
Thank you for your report!
Crashes such as these are logged automatically, and will be looked into further by the development team.
