Shulkers are supposed to have different sounds for taking damage when open and when closed. However, currently shulkers are always using the "open" sound when taking damage, even if the shell is closed.

This vulnerability still exists in this version and has not been fixed,please mojang fix this bug.

When a shulker's shell is down, attacks are weakened and a separate sound is played on all other versions. On bedrock, the shell being down makes no difderdiff
As far as I've tested the damage reduction when the shell is closed seems to be working fine. It takes a few more hits compared to when the shell is open.
But I can confirm the "Hurt" sound when the shell is closed is in fact missing.
Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket has not been updated recently (~1 year+) so is being closed as Cannot Reproduce. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines.

Oddly enough, the sound effects are still stored in the files. They're just unused.
