When placed anywhere else, sponges work as intended and cause no problems. When placed inside shipwrecks, however, they almost always cause the game to crash.
How to replicate:
Find and swim into a shipwreck.
Place a sponge. The game will almost always crash.

Even if the game is set to run as smoothly as possible (Fancy graphics and such off, screen animations off, etc.), this issue still occurs.
