I did /setblock ~ ~1 ~ command_block and of course, it put a command block in my head, but I saw conditional arrows with an indent in the back, but opened it and found it unconditional. What's wrong???

Is the command block the correct type on the outside, though?

Also, teleporting yourself into a command block causes them to look conditional (showing the indent on the back of the arrows) even if they're not. Might be a separate issue. This also affects 1.8.1

Jay, yes it is correct on the outside, and Jonathan, this is not a separate issue, it is just that the arrow always has an indent inside of the command block.
This is not specific to command blocks, it is a general issue with the "box" effect that appears when you are suffocating. For example, logs show the bottom face on all sides

Oh, thanks tryashtar!

Oh, I did not realize that this was a graphics issue, I thought that it was just a command block issue the whole time

Yes me too. I thought it was an issue with the block entity associated with it or something, but guess what? Nope.

Wait, Jay, did you realize that it was a graphics issue in general before tryashtar commented? Or did you think it was about the associated block entity or the command block itself all along?
Thank you for your report!
