Minecraft freezes after using touch screen to save the game.
This issue does not happen when using the controller. When I attempt to close the game, the screen says "The software was closed because an error occured."

The game hasn't crashed since I filed this report, so I don't know why it happened in the first place.
I have checked the settings and the setting that could cause this is being an old world size. It has only happened on one world.
Update: The game has crashed again on an infinite world so it has nothing to do with the world type.
I'm currently encountering this as well. Every time I save and quit, my game freezes and I have to force close it, with the Switch prompting me with an error (just like the error screenshot in the post). I haven't noticed if it happens because of the touch input or controller input like OP stated.
Edit: This has only happened to me on 1.9.0 and not on 1.8.1 as shown in the bug report.
same here! also makes the MB increases or decrees as well, my world well go from 290mb to 330mb, also chunks are slow to load if they load at allΒ

Does this happen on all worlds?
Do you have any specific setting applied that might effect this?
