Beta crashing randomly when opening inventory, crafting table, and when loading world

Minecraft is crashing occasionally when I try to open my inventory and sometimes when I click on a crafting table. Trying to recreate the issue when I reload after the crash hasn't worked, but there is definitely a bit of lag like it nearly crashed again.

I've created two worlds this week and both had the same issues randomly before constantly crashing when trying to reload the world. The loading bar at the bottom sometimes gets about 1/10th of the way before everything stops, I see the Mojang logo and white background and then I'm on the xbox home screen.

*Update: I tried loading the world on Xbox One X and it loaded. Saved the game and now it won't load on either consoles again.

World Sizes: 45.1 MB and 74.9 MB

Beta 1.12.0.2 GUI400, xbox_one, Xbox One 10.0.18362.2018*

This might not be related, but I'm also seeing villagers with their heads floating over them while they sleep, and occasionally running into texture issues where the sides of a grass blocks change from brown to gray, spruce trees turn silver and doors change so only the top half is wood and the bottom turns gray.

I can create a new world, but the two used for the beta will no longer load

Things tried to resolve the issue:

Reset xbox

Re-installed the game

Threw the controller

Yelled and cried

Let me know if I can provide anything further to assist.

I am also experiencing similar issues on multiple worlds on multiple consoles. Sometimes it will happen at random while walking.

Thank you for your report!

Crashes such as these are logged automatically, and will be looked into further by the development team.

If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines including steps to reproduce the issue.

If your world is crashing, and you have a copy of the world available, you might like to make a copy of it available here for investigation:

  • On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.

  • On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds

  • On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS.

If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
