Yesterday while I was playing minecraft I was going to create a flat world, when all of a sudden everything froze, before I was able to edit the world to flat it auto created, so I closed the game so the world wouldn't create because I didn't want to deal with the severe save & quit lag. But when I reopened the game I saw that the world that I thought I kept from being created was still there, so I went to the settings to delete the world I pressed on the world I wanted to delete and everything seemed normal, but when I went to open a different world that I spent 40+ hours on WAS GONE and was replaced with the world I had tried to delete. ALL THOSE HOURS PLACING BLOCKS, LEARNING TO USE REDSTONE, PROGRAMMING COMMAND BLOCKS, MAKING FARMS, ETC, FOR NOTHING. This game is cursed and you know it, Mojang.
-Will I ever get that world back? 😞

It's already your fault when you literally refuse to use the button the GAME gives you and CLOSE THE GAME instead.
The game wouldn't close and because I had auto backup on then I had no chance to stop it 😞
Also I didn't get the cancel option because the who thing froze and when the game finally started showing video again the world was already there so I had to get out of it because the world was very laggy and I tried to save and quit but the button wasnt there so I just exited the game.
Hola un cordial saludo, el problemas que reportaste me a pasado igual a mi, si los mundos que se cierran forzosamente tienden a perderse del juego, sin embargo en su mayoría estos vuelven a aparecer después de unas semanas o días.
Te recomiendo que ya no cierres los mundos de esa manera, de ser asi te seguira pasando lo mismo, si pantalla se congela mientras juegas deja que se cierre por sí sola, ya que de esa manera el juego guarda en su mayoría los cambias que se hicieron al jugar por última vez.
Espero que con el tuyo sea así, se paciente ojala y lo recuperes. 🙂

This is the first game I've ever played where it lags even on the menu screen. It would almost be funny if I hadn't bought the game with my own money :/. Really sucks about your old world, I haven't even properly started any of mine. It's really disheartening seeing a really cool update and not even being able to enjoy it because of an issue that should have been the first priority to fix.
