This bug was also present in version 1.10.0. For some reason, me and my friend (I play on PC, he plays on Xbox) can't join each other's worlds despite any changes to our multiplayer/internet settings. We both have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription and he can join his friends' worlds.

Also having this problem in 1.12, I haven't been able to play with my friends on xbox live since 1.7 more or less. I really want this problem fixed, also neither of us has changed multiplayer or internet settings at all.
