Game crashing

I was playing Minecraft today, in a new world generated for the Village and Pillage update. Saved and exited to go help a friend in another game. Afterward, I tried to get back into Minecraft but the game would not let me.

The first few times it would show the Mojang logo, then get stuck on a solid white screen and crash back to home screen. I restarted my xbox. After that I could get to the world select screen, but then it would freeze when I tried to select a world. I restarted my xbox again. The next time, when I clicked on a world, it would start to load but then freeze. Anyone talking to me in Xbox Live party chat would have their voice go all stuttery and distorted. And then the game would crash back to the home screen.

There were no messages or popups, nothing about corrupted data or being unable to find the world. I tried to enter several but it would crash every time

I'm getting sick of this. Going from Minecraft to another game requires restarting the Xbox just to get the other game to load. Now Minecraft is crashing on me and I don't know if my new world has gotten corrupted or not.

Seriously, fix your game!
