I think there is a bug with the lecterns in bedrock Edition
The lecterns don’t drop the book when destroyed like item frame; brewing stand; armor stand.
It’s very frustrating because I build a library in my realm I protected spawn area with adventure mode and the there is no way to let other players to take books back from lecterns.Except to set them in survival or creative. Is it a bug? Can you make lecterns function like other item-holding block like brewing stand and item frames?

Well as you can see in the two screenshots I provide. Under the same settings. The item frame drop the item but the lectern didn't. My /dotiledrop is always true.

However, this issue has been closed as Working as Intended.
You might like to give the player an item that allows them to remove books from lecterns even in Adventure mode, using the following command:
/give @p stick 1 0 {"can_destroy":{"blocks":["lectern"]}}This would mean that the player can also break the lectern if they wished to do so, though.
