I'm getting very wierd controller lag in Minecraft Pocket edition, and just a little on Windows 10. I am using an Xbox one X controller though a Bluetooth connection for both platforms, and the Android app fared far worse than windows 10. This lag seemed entirely dependent upon the world lag; if your on a laggy world or server, the controller has this horrible drifting effect.
I think the cause of this problem is that the controller priorities are set much lower than they should be, for instance; instead of updating itself on what buttons are bieng pressed, the game tries to load stuff first. For my PC, this was beraly a problem, since it can handle worlds much better than my phone. It still lagged a little on servers, but it wasn't very noticeable.
However, on the android phone the issue is a game changer. The lag easily disables any pvp chance you have to win, and even in single player it can be deadly. This is a serious issue. This defeats the purpose of using a controller on a phone, since it's way better than touch controls and provides you with that exra precision. Please upvote this, if you have had this problem or you want to end my pain (lol).

While using a Xbox One bluetooth controller in Minecraft the lag between input and actions sometimes is up to 3-4 seconds. At times upon releasing the controller sticks the last movement continues indefinitely without an additional input. There is also the issue of button functions not being detected.
It was suggested by a moderator to create another bug ticket for this next mention but I feel it may be pertinent to this bug.
I've noticed that turning off auto jump in any of the input types doesn't work unless turned off in ALL inputs types! Since we are discussing input lag perhaps this is part of the issue; overlap between types. At a minimum it is redundant. Maybe a toggle to turn off currently unnecessary input types may assist in reducing this reoccurring issue.
I experienced these issues on a.....

The bug still in the 1.16.201.01 and same issue laggy (1s or 2s of latence), drifting, when I release the stick the last movement continue indefinitely and don't care about other input
I have this bug with the Xbox one control on my phone it's redmi note 8t running on Android 10
There is no step to reproduce the bug because it's happen totally randomly
Please reopen the ticket and fix it, it's make the unplayable
(I can gave more information and screenshot if you ask me)
Still on the 1.16.210.05 whiteout change but the issue is less common and I start thinking I just talk to myself
I'm having similar issues playing PE on my Android Samsung S9+ using my Xbox controller. This has been an issue since 1.16.100. Making my game unplayable. Still waiting for this to be fixed.
It will occur frequently and randomly, causing me to die frequently and place/break blocks I didn't want to... It is as the input gets stuck and then will sometimes just not work at all. I'm sure it can be recreated easily, as it happens so often. Seems to only happen when I'm online tho... As I haven't had the problem if I turn my wifi off. But I dislike doing that since I can't rely on my phone service to receive internet. I'm out in the middle of nowhere.
If this issue could be addressed soon, I'd appreciate it. It's been months and I'm probably going to have to find a more reliable hobby...
Yes I'm agree with the last comment when the WiFi is on its like 10 time worse but I think this bug isn't link to playing online or offline because when I play online with a 4G connection there is like no problems at all so I don't know maybe the game don't like when you have a triple connection on (cellular data + WiFi + Bluetooth) so that can explain why it's only happens on phones (and if my theory is true that can happen on some pc because some pc have a sim card port but is rare so I don't know if someone will be able to confirm if that do that on pc with sim card port). I will do some "experience" and tell the results
After my "experience" I noticed that the bug isn't directly link to have WiFi on because if we have the WiFi (and Bluetooth of course) on and 4G off the bug doesn't happen so the bug is (I think) due to having the 3 type of connection (4G, WiFi and Bluetooth) on at the time so (I think) that can happen on android (for sure), iOS and window 10 with a sim card
(Edited)
Still in the last update (1.16.221.01)
Step to reproduce :
1- turn on the WiFi + cellular data + Bluetooth
2- connect your controller (I get the bug with a Xbox controller)
3- launch a world or go to any server
4- play normally
Observed results :
During this step you may at a random moment experience the bug : delayed input, character spinning, camera spinning, the last input repeat indefinitely, the controller is disconnected
Do know : the bug also look like happen more often when the battery is low (but not sure if here it's due to a bug or if it's directly the controller)
Do know : this bug doesn't happen if your WiFi is off even if you are connected to internet (with cellular data)
Edit description to include other affected platforms.
